SQL Developer

Dublin based data warehousing and management specialists are seeking a MS SQL Server Developer to assist with a high-profile project. The main focus of this role is the retrieval and management of sensitive information and also the retrieval of information approx. 20K organisations, including detailed financial information for over 8000 companies.
The client is looking for a highly skilled MS SQL Server Developer to work within an AGILE Framework and to maintain and manage the existing Database of information. The role will initially commence as a 6 month contract with a very strong chance of the role being extended to a long-term opportunity.
As an MS SQL Server Developer working alongside a project manager your core responsibilities will include,

* Work with the team to build new business intelligence and reporting solutions in a variety of formats
* Retrieve and transform data from external sources
* Maintain and improve the existing data import processes
* Publish data as JSON to NoSQL databases for web consumption
* Maintain and refactor legacy code and data structures

Essential skills for this SQL Developer role

* Solid background with Microsoft SQL Server development, with excellent T-SQL Coding ability
* Solid experience with Microsoft C#.NET
* Expertise in stored procedures
* Experience of SSIS package development and deployment
* Understanding of SQL File Tables
* Good PowerShell or other scripting language skills for file manipulation
* Knowledge of NoSQL databases and JSON data structures
* XML parsing in SQL

The role offers a competitive salary in the region of 70-78K + pension
