itContracting are seeking applications for an Technical Assurance Specialist, this is a permanent position with our large corporate client based in Dublin.
The role of the Technical Assurance Specialist is to ensure that both existing and new infrastructure services are fully standardized, optimized for both price and performance, and that they are closely aligned to the overall Enterprise Architecture.
Responsibilities:
* Support both IT and business on infrastructure design and operational practices
* Review solution design, providing sign-off as part of transition management process
* Devise & propose new solutions with supporting business case
* Drive standardisation and shared resources as part of IT strategy
* Advisory role for certain major incidents or problem management
* Develop service improvements with IT suppliers
* Stay fully engaged with developments in the market and promote new concepts and technologies with internal partners and external providers, as and when appropriate to do so.
Requirements:
* A proven track record in an IT consulting/architecture role with 5+ years' experience
* Exceptional influencing skills, demonstrable though all levels of the organisation.
* Recent exposure to IT infrastructure services within the Financial Services industry
* Proven experience of working within a large Global or Regional organisation within a multi-national company
* Proven experience of working within a supplier lead service delivery model
* Demonstrated structured analytical skills
* A reliable team player who can multitask and work on their own initiative.
* In depth experience of Capacity management, Performance management and Troubleshooting.
* Excellent communication skills, with strong attention to detail
* Specialist knowledge of two of the following - Windows Server, Linux, VMWare, SQL, Oracle, Scale IO, TSM Backup.
* Additional knowledge of two of the following: TCP/IP, WAN Optimisation, Security Technologies, Cloud Technologies.
* Some travel may be involved.
