As an IT Software Tester, you will perform testing activities to support our client’s current and future software development projects.
Joining a small Testing Team, you will help to co-ordinate and perform testing on largely web-based projects. You will provide infrastructure support and help to resolve customers’ technical issues on an ad-hoc basis.
Additionally, your duties will involve:
- Liaising with IT Development Teams to identify testing requirements
- Ensuring that all systems are tested to a high quality in-line with internal procedures
- Reporting on the status of test projects
- Writing detailed bug reports
- Documenting testing activities
Interested? To be considered, you’ll need:
- Experience in a software testing role
- Previous experience of reviewing software requirements, preparing and executing test cases, reporting on defects and preparing test reports
- A good understanding of software testing processes and methodologies, including V-Model, Waterfall and Agile
- The willingness to learn and explore new technologies
- A degree level qualification, ideally in a software related discipline
Organised and detail-oriented, as an IT Software Tester, you’ll need strong written and verbal communication skills. You’ll also be able to work well, both individually and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
