This Front End Developer will be an essential force on the expanding software development team. In addition to the usual everyday functions of a front end Javascript developer, you will be expected to play a key part in working alongside the Technical Director to drive the technical approach of the team moving forward at this crucial time.
The Front End Javascript developer will investigate, identify and drive the implementation of changes to the company's core platform all within a development pipeline as agreed across multiple departments including design, marketing, sales and development.
You would be joining this ambitious company at a pivotal time, as they launch their business forward to the next level of success having just won one of the largest contracts in Ireland.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
You will be joining a team of developers highly experienced in coding using HTML5, CSS3, AJAX, JavaScript and JavaScript libraries and will be capable of communicating concisely not only with this team but also with other external team departments such as UX, Architects, Backend Developers and Product Owners.
In order to do this you will -
Create high quality, clean code using modern Front End technologies and best in practice processes;
Influence your team and the projects you undertake with passion throughout the dev process;
Participate in code reviews;
Keep up to date with the latest trends and technologies in the industry - Outside of the box, creative problem solvers are more than welcome here and creativity is encouraged;
Requirements:
* 4+ years' experience in web development using Javascript, HTML, CSS.
* Champion object oriented development and agile development practices;
* Experience with and an interest in latest trends and approaches in web development including the use of modern frameworks and tools such as AngularJS, BackboneJS, KnockoutJS and Bootstrap;
* Experience working with SASS, LESS, XML, AJAX, REST API's;
* Back end development is something you will have experience with also using either PHP or JAVA;
* Experience in a .Net environment
* Strong communication & influencing skills;
* Ability to work both on own initiative and to tight deadlines
* Excellent problem solving skills and outside the box thinking
