Data Erasure Technician - Data Centre

Responsibilities

* Respond quickly and effectively to data security needs
* Sanitize or destroy all storage devices and provide a certificate of the action preformed.
* Maintain secure environment.
* Utilize inventory applications for thorough tracking of all devices
* Precisely follow process and safety protocols
* Stay up to date with training material and assist in updating training material when possible
* Inform Program Managers of inventory, issues encountered, and email interactions with
* Set up pickups of destroyed parts for shredding offsite
* Arrange for recycling of unused equipment
* Manage cleanliness and organization of workspaces
* Adhere to security protocols within the Data Center

Requirements

* Ability to lift and carry 30 pounds or heavier
* Excellent communication skills
* Competency with Mac or Windows operating system
* Familiarity with Microsoft excel or similar spreadsheet application
* Willingness to travel, by plane, when/where needed on occasion
* Passing of a background check
* Good organization and time management skills
* Datacenter experience a plus
* Technical hardware and software knowledge a plus
