Our client is a successful IT support and managed services business that operates at the cutting-edge of technology. An excellent opportunity has now arisen for a Level 2 / 3 Technical Support Engineer to join their team.

As a Level 2 / 3 Technical Support Engineer, you will join our client’s Cork-based security operations centre and will be tasked with providing a high level of IT support.

Joining a highly skilled and passionate team, you will have the chance to work with leading organisations on cutting-edge, interesting and varied technical set-ups.

You will monitor networks and systems for security breaches; triage and prioritise events and alerts, and investigate violations if they occur.

Additionally, your role will include:

- Resolving issues in a timely manner and escalating them as required
- Undertaking basic forensics
- Detecting malware
- Analysing behaviour, solutions and improvements

Interested? If so, you will need:

- At least two years’ previous experience in a technical support role
- Basic knowledge of AD, IDS/IPS and Firewalls
- Excellent reporting capabilities
- A degree (or equivalent) in computer science or an IT related field

Analytical and dedicated, as a Level 2 / 3 Technical Support Engineer, you’ll be eager to challenge convention and capable of thinking your way around the most complex of problems. Your customer-facing skills will be second-to-none, as will your communication and interpersonal abilities, and you’ll be willing and eager to go above and beyond to get the job done.
