Our client is one of the leading players in the travel retail sector and they are looking to hire a Senior Software Engineer to join their large engineering team. Our client provides a best in class digital commerce platform used by many of the world's largest airlines to engage with their customers. As a Senior Software Engineer you would be joining the company at a senior level and be expected to bring the right mix of technical and leadership skills required for the role.

The ideal candidate will have an extensive background in software development and as well as very strong Java/JEE stack experience. You will ideally have been working with large scale distribution platforms.

Location: Dublin

Salary: 55k-65k

Role: Permanent full time

Requirements:

* At least 5 years working in software development
* Excellent knowledge of Java technologies
* Experience working with multi-threaded applications in high performance environments
* Experience working on large scale enterprise level applications
* Track record working in various development environments like Agile and Waterfall
* Strong communication and problem solving skills

* Hands-on experience with, REST, SOA, Java Web Services, XML, JSON, JMS, and messaging techniques.
* Good database knowledge - both Relational & NoSQL (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)

Desirable:

* Experience working within the travel sector
