Senior Field Engineer - Level 3 - Dublin

My client, one of Ireland's leading IT services providers are currently seeking to hire an experienced individual to join their ever-expanding IT team as a Senior Field Engineer.

You will integrate within this experienced Engineering team and be responsible for repairing, servicing and installing our equipment on client sites which will be troubleshooting and providing on site support. While you will be primarily responsible for servicing our Dublin customer base, travel may be required to the head office.

Role

You will be responsible for dealing with and solving the clients requests. Elements of this job will require you to work in high pressure situations and require you to have excellent personal skills.

You will also be constantly overviewing the IT infrastructure of each client and reviewing their needs to include servers, storage, security, backups, switches & software.

What you need:

* Strong English communication skills and residing in Ireland
* Experience working in a break fix - field service environment
* Virtualisation experience
* At 4 years' experience in a senior IT position
* Windows server 2003/2008/2012/2016
* Strong understanding of Active Directory and Office 365
* Good knowledge of firewalls, routers, VPN's, LAN, WAN, IP routing and other networking technologies
* Backup and storage knowledge
* Strong problem solving ability
* Relevant computer degree seen as an advantage
* Microsoft & Cisco accreditations are a distinct advantage (MCSA, MCSE, MSCD, CCNA, CCNP,)
