Software Test Developer required for 6 month fixed term contract in South Dublin.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Development and maintenance of all test platforms associated with software items.
• Unit testing on low level C libraries
• Equivalence testing of prototype algorithms and finalized production libraries
• Higher level application automation
• Continuous integration and build automation
• Other software test automation that may arise
• Holding appropriate software to a high standard of quality via test and verification before integration into products
• Identifying and developing tests that will stress-test software and ensure any potential issues are found and reported as early as possible within the development cycle
• Working with our Software Lead, Project Manager and Test Engineers
• Working within our software development environment
• Adopting coding and software development methodologies

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• Relevant Degree qualification in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• At least 3 years commercial software development/test experience
• Experience with C and at least one scripting language
• Knowledge of the practice of software unit/automation testing
• Experience working in an Agile environment
• Ability to identify and manage risks
• Must have experience working in a team as well as on own initiative
• Strong communication skills are crucial
• A passionate, self-motivated, flexible and adaptive individual
• Maintain standards of accuracy and attention to detail

DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS:
• Experience with Python, Matlab, Java, Swift
• Experience working with mobile applications
• Knowledge of different software environments/operating systems e.g. Windows, Linux, Android, iOS etc.
