Our client, a Leading ICT Consultancy Company, they are currently seeking a Technical Incident Problem Manager for a client based in the city centre.

 

The successful candidate will work within an applications support/incident management role within an IT Services capacity.

You will support the investigation and triaging of system incidents raised against the clients central merchandising/buying applications which are critical to their retail business.

Duties include incident management/co-ordination, investigating data issues in V=Batch jobs. Gain understanding of system processes and typical incidents. You will be the technical point of contact for system incidents and work with the application supplier to resolve any problems that arise.

 

Responsibilities

The Technical Incident manager will assist the day to day service related operational issues and have responsibility for the technical and productions incidents raised against this Buying and merchandising System/Application.

You will participate in daily production issue meetings.

Ensure 3rd line incidents are being progressed.

Keep the Service delivery team informed at all stages.

Provide technical assistance to the support team and also to 3rd party vendors in relation to any production issues.

Support application smoke testing activity, provide knowledge transfer to service agents,

The ideal candidate will have experience dealing with 3rd party solution providers, applications systems experience, retail systems experience ( NOT Essential) service desk/incident management experience.

 

Skills required

Experience of dealing with incidence and providing support on a production business application or similar

Experience of gaining understanding of complex business processes, ensuring that incidents and problems are allocated correctly,

Experience troubleshooting networking, infrastructure, data centre,  email, file share, and other infrastructure issues.

Production system technical support,

Root cause analysis

Level 3 technical experience

2 years systems administration

2 years batch processing/data flow investigation experience.
