The successful candidate must have excellent communication skills and be able to devise and implement strategies to assist in achieving our business goals. They will play an active role in the planning and direction of technology implementation alongside the Commercial teams, Affiliate leadership, and other functions.
In this role, you will:
• Take a leadership position on all technology-related initiatives
• Speak authoritatively on technology matters and provide guidance where required, providing input into business strategy, in areas where technology plays a significant role
• Create opportunities for the use of technology and generating projects based on knowledge of business strategy – play a full and integrated role in the strategic and, where possible, the tactical planning process within the business
• Actively champion news ways of working that are enabled by technology
• Understand the external technical environment, and become an expert in understanding how this affects the company at an site level
• Understand emerging technology and digital strategies within the region, and understand how they will impact affiliate business strategies, as well as existing systems and procedures
• Sell the value and benefits of Commercial BTS across all areas of competency (i.e. internal collaboration, digital, analytics, Infield solutions)
• Help the customers make business savvy decisions regarding risk, costs, measures of success and ROI (return of investment) for projects
• Work with Global, region and site technical leads to recommend and implement technology and digital strategies within the affiliate brand teams.
• Maximise impact & usage of platforms/solutions (e.g. CRM, CLM, Analytics, apps, websites) by briefing teams on their value and collecting user feedback
• Where applicable, work closely with the Digital Manager within the affiliate to ensure that all programs are in line with digital strategy.

To be successful in this role, you will have:
• The ability to work effectively and highly interactively with all levels of management
• Capable of strong independent decision-making, organizational, planning and problem-solving skills
• Be able to influence within an organisation and the ability to lead without direct authority
• Experience in operating in a matrix organisation
• Successfully managing technology projects through the full lifecycle
• Demonstrated experience in analyzing, designing and improving business processes
• Experience of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle)
• The ability to manage external service providers

Ideally, you will also have:
• Knowledge and experience of the technology and digital landscape (including mobile, ux, web design, web build, mobile, marketing, SEO, SEM, web analytics, and social media)
• Understanding of, or preferably experience of running, digital marketing projects
• Understanding of, or preferably experience of creating, digital strategies (both communications and platforms)

In addition, you will have a:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology/Computer Science, or equivalent experience, preferably in business or a closely related discipline
• 3/5+ years of significant IT Consultancy or IT Professional experience
