UX Designer

This is an exciting opportunity for a digital talent with a passion for user experience and an eye for innovative design to join our Digital Product Team. As the leading ecommerce company in Europe we are investing big time to put in place a leading web and mobile platform to better serve our multi-million customer base. In this role you will really be able to put your stamp on the direction of our product.
Key responsibilities:
• Design user flows and map out customer journeys
• Define information architecture via concept sketches and wireframes
• Interaction design through prototypes
• UI Design in Sketch
• Translate your design into clear requirements for the developers
• Design and conduct user research. You find out what users need and work with the team to determine how that knowledge should shape the design solution we deliver
• Run user testing to see if the design meet users expectations
• Partner with diverse stakeholders to translate business needs and customer service feedback into design solutions
Required Skills and Experience:
• Minimum 3 years experience as a UX or Product designer working on large-scale projects
• A degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent work experience in UX design and user research
• Experience designing mobile or responsive websites / applications / platforms
• Understanding of the theory and practice of research methods and user centred design
• Being able to turn research and data into insights
• A strong understanding of the design process, UX principles and UI / front-end design
• Ability to build consensus and align diverse requirements and points of view
• Understanding of front-end development and software development in general
• Expertise in the software and tools available to the UX professional – we’re flexible, but our preferred wireframing tool is Sketch
• Getting things done attitude. You understand the importance of delivering what you promise on time and on budget
Desired Skills and Experience:
• Excellent communication skills. We want people who enjoy working with people
• Ability to articulate complex ideas and concepts visually, in a simple and effective way
• Technology savvy & comfortable talking to our dev team about the technical details of your designs
• An online portfolio that demonstrates a strong user experience skill set for large scale projects + a real life example of how your solution has led to growth in conversion
• Freedom to explore ideas relating to the design process or emerging practises
• Experience in travel and/or retail would be a plus
