About the Role:

The role will be based at our customer site in Dublin on an initial 6month contract.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage CI Lab working with DEV and QA teams to ensure stability across all applications
  • Drive automation across release pipe line including build and deployment tasks
  • Work with Test Automation team to ensure CI process is as automated as possible
  • Work with development team to understand and optimize code branches and merge activities Develop scripts and automation tools used to build, integrate, and deploy software releases to various platforms
  • Forward Plan the release windows and cycles across the Digital Enterprise Integration applications and related systems
  • Coordinate effort based on the service request backlog, pending service requests, third party applications, or operating system updates
  • Communicate all key project plans, commitments, and changes including requirements, QA plans, schedule, and scope changes
  • Negotiate, plan and manage all release activities
  • Manage relationships and coordinate work between different teams at different locations
  • Conduct Release artefact Build, Readiness reviews, Milestone Reviews, and Business Go/No-Go reviews
  • Produce Deployment, Run Books and Implementation Plans
  • Lead and co-ordinate the Go-Live activities including the execution of the deployment Plans and checklists.
  • Participate in CAB meetings to discuss release scope and/or roadblocks
  • Research new software development and configuration management methodologies and technologies and analyse their application to current configuration management needs

Experience Required:

  • Extensive experience in Continuous Integration and Automation
  • Jenkins/Hudson/Bamboo experience
  • Experience with Nexus
  • Experience using version control systems in particular Git
  • Experience with branching and merge strategies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with IBM stack including MQ, Integration Bus/Message Broker, Urban Code Deploy or Worklight/Mobile First
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills; sound organizational, negotiating and decision making skills
