Our client, a global financial services firm, currently has a job opening for a Salesforce Developer.
This is a new, highly funded initiative in the company. You will be working on very large, global, Salesforce projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Designing application components to meet the business requirements and documentation of the design
• Ensuring architectural changes (as defined by Architects) are implemented
• Evaluating new products including prototyping (potentially on behalf of Architects)
• Providing Level 3 support for technical components and contributing to problem and root cause analysis
• Developing source code, including descriptions, in line with detailed requirements
• Verifying the developed source code by reviews
• Integrating software components including unit and integrated software testing according to the test plan
• Ensuring that all code changes end up in configuration and deployment tools
• Providing Release Deployments on non-Production Management controlled environments
• Capturing Build and Deployment notes, developing Software Product Deployment and Operating Instructions
• Supporting the creation of Software Product and Release Documentation
• Carrying out Deployment Instructions
• Developing Software Product Operating Instructions
• Checking consistency of documents with the respective Software Product Release
• Maintaining applications and performing technical change requests, in line with release plans
• Fixing software defects / bugs
• Measuring and analysing code for quality
• Collaborating with Functional Analysts and technical Specialists to complete work, as required
Skills & Qualifications:
• Significant experience with Development technologies
• Salesforce Development experience (beneficial)
• Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) Solutions for Distributed Enterprise Applications (beneficial)
• Demonstrable passion for quality and continuous improvement of processes and software, well versed with software engineering practices (e.g. Continuous integration, Build/Deploy automation)
• Previous experience with Test Driven Development and Agile software development methodologies
• Ability to work in fast paced environment, creating a positive working atmosphere
• Passionate about sharing knowledge and best practices, promotes collaboration
• Ability to work in virtual teams and in matrix organisations
• Strong knowledge of Java programming language
• User Interface (UI) Development expertise, HTML5 development including frameworks such as AngularJS, Struts and GWT (beneficial)
• Enterprise Integration Solutions (Apache Camel, Tibco ESB, Mule, Informatica) (beneficial)
• Web API development – Rest/SOAP Services and SOAP processing tools, REST, JSON and REST frameworks (beneficial)
• Experience in XML, XML schemas, XSLT standards, XML parsing (beneficial)
• Familiar with DevOps tools such as, Eclipse, Git, GitHub, BitBucket, Sonar, Jira, Jama, Confluence, Crucible, Jenkins and TeamCity (beneficial)
• Educated to Bachelor’s degree level with a concentration in Computer Science or Software Engineering or an IT-related discipline (or equivalent qualification / work experience)
