itContracting are seeking applications for a Software Developer, this is a permanent position based in Cork.

The position will be in a flexible, fast-paced, collaborative team environment, and involve working with all levels of management and external service providers.

Responsibilities:

* Develop and maintain systems to meet the changing needs of the business
* Manage the implementation of new systems and upgrades
* Consult with internal clients and external partners to gather requirements about program needs, objectives, functions and features
* Develop standard and ad-hoc reports for our client's management team
* Develop and maintain procedures and policies
* Implementation of best practices
* Mail campaigns
* Other projects as assigned by the Business Systems Manager

Skills Required:

* Computer Science degree or equivalent
* Visual Studio: VB.Net or C# development
* Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and reporting solutions - SSRS, Microsoft Report Viewer
* Experience with software engineering best practices (code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, release and change management)
* Experience with web services
* Proficient knowledge of Microsoft desktop products, especially Access and Excel
* Knowledge of project management strategy, such as Agile
* Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
* Strong problem solving and coding skills.
* The ability to talk to your customers and deliver innovative solutions
* Experience with Microsoft Azure, or other cloud computing platform is desirable
* Experience of working in a virtualised environment
* Knowledge of Team Foundation Server, GIT or other source control system is desirable
* Business knowledge, including basic understanding of accounting principals
* Prior experience working on financial services systems is preferable
