My client is a global insurance provider with offices based in South Dublin. They are going through a big global expansion and require a strong infrastructure specialist to join the team. The successful candidate will have great career growth prospects.
You will work within the Infrastructure Delivery team as advanced /senior for supporting projects with concepts, architectural designs and infrastructure pattern delivery. Will have contacts to several stakeholders from business to application IT responsible to support the infrastructure designs along with supporting global projects from BU Switzerland ITS side if needed.
KEY TASKS & ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Assess current and future demand from projects and existing services
• Support evaluations & business projects from an infrastructural point
• Provide deep expertise on infrastructural concepts
• Create infrastructural designs and blueprints in line with standards, methods, license constraints and security principles
• Act as SPOC to ISP vendor(s) for infrastructural topics
• Support service transitions and operational handovers (ORR) that is executed and owned by a partner group
• Act as security support for GIS related processes & services
• Interact with strategic vendor(s) for future technology roadmaps
• Partially travelling to Switzerland will happen (10-20%)
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
• Demonstrate mature IT infrastructure, Data centre and Backend infrastructure know how.
• Demonstrate mature and proven project management skills
• Experience and evidence with medium to large data centre consolidation & re-platforming projects and initiatives is a plus
• Demonstrate mature and proven experience on technologies such as Windows Server, Unix, RHEL, VDI, HW, Storage, Active Directory Services, etc.
• Has strong stakeholder management communication skills
• Advanced to senior experience on several technologies such as Windows Server, Unix, RHEL, HW, Storage, Network, Active Directory Services
