The Role:
Supporting multiple data centres and hosting practice, looking for a Developer to design and build web applications and APIs. Working with a small team they will take features all the way from concept to full implementation, creating all that is required on the backend and integrating it with a frontend.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Create software design documentation
* Implement and deploy new features
* Investigate and fix issues found in existing code
* Provide third level assistance and support on developed applications
* Provide ongoing feedback to upper management on the current status of projects
* Review and test features implemented by other developers
* Document and provide training on newly developed features
* Evaluate and provide input for the selection of third party tools
Qualifications:
* Strong technical knowledge and experience with web development
* Experience with all parts of the software development lifecycle
* Excellent understanding of PHP a must!!
* Solid understanding relational databases and SQL)
* Experience with RESTful APIs
* Experience with ticketing tools (specifically JIRA)
* Understanding of the agile methodology
* Very strong analytical skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications and Competencies
* Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
* Knowledge of virtualization and multi-tenant architectures
* Knowledge of the data centre industry and data centre facilities systems
* Enterprise IT knowledge
