<p>Senior C Software Engineer with 5 years C Software Development experience required for permanent role in South Dublin. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: This role is part team management, part software development • Manage the software and test development team • Provide architecture oversight of C software library platform • Liaise with the customer to elicit software requirements and plan software development activity • Manage software deliverables timelines • Take existing signal processing algorithms (developed in Matlab), re-write them in C, and deploy on to target platforms such as Windows, Linux, Android and iOS • Integrate new algorithm modules with the existing C library platform • Verify C implementation: • Unit testing • Establishment of equivalence with Matlab • Provide an efficient C implementation to ensure that the final software operates within the time and memory constraints of the target environment • Conduct profiling and detailed code analysis on different platforms using readily available software analysis/profiling tools • Refactor existing C code modules when/if required • Work within our software development environment adopting and ensuring adherence to coding and software development methodologies, source control procedures, software release procedures, and Quality Control process MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: • Relevant Degree qualification in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or related field • Five year’s recent commercial development experience in C • Capable of exhibiting the right level of assertiveness and drive to ensure the software team deliver on schedule • Experience in customer/stakeholder engagement • Experience in delivery planning and team management • Experience in digital signal processing or algorithm implementation in C • Experience using a number of different debugging and profiling tools under different environments • Ability to work independently and to deliver deadlines. • Experience in a structured software environment (e.g., QMS, source control, JIRA, CUnit, Valgrind, Make) DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS: • Experience using the Matlab development tool • Experience in C++, scripting, Python • Experience in fixed point arithmetic implementation Please contact Emer Moore in confidence +35357863188 emoore@emtechrecruitment.ie</p>
