Our client based in Sligo are looking for highly skilled developers to work on their enterprise web applications. Candidates should have 5 years or more professional development experience and at least a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience. They value intelligence, creativity, quality, technical leadership, and a strong interest to learn.
Requirements:
• Strong Java skills (or equivalent OO language)
• Solid SQL ability
• Proficiency in Object Oriented design and programming
• Experience with Object Relational Mapping, especially Hibernate
• Use of Tomcat, Apache
• Proficiency with SVN and GIT
• Experience building web services especially using the REST style
• Ability to mentor junior staff
• Understand complex architectures and data flows
Other desired abilities are:
• Experience with multiple programming languages
• Functional programming experience, esp Java 8
• Team lead experience
• Experience using web presentation technologies such as JSP, Javascript, Angular.js, React.js
• Development on Linux
• Experience with the Spring framework
• Experience with Maven
• Experience with JMS and other async messaging protocols
• Keen interest in new technologies and frameworks
