Overview:
Our Client has a requirement for an experienced Desktop Support Engineer for a 6 Month Contract. If you are available to start a position immediately or within 1 week and you have the required experience we would be delighted to speak with you.
Responsibilities:
- Resolving day to day user issues (Profile, Email and Application).
- Setting up and managing user profiles using Active Directory and Exchange.
- Fixing any hardware issues with users PC’s/Laptops.
- Updating anti-virus definitions and Windows updates
- Providing training to new users.
- Additional projects as required such as preparing system and user documentation and testing.
Technical Requirements & Experience:
- 2 - 3 years practical experience in providing technical support to enterprise customers or software customers.
- Detailed knowledge of Microsoft (Windows Server 2003 -2012, Microsoft Exchange and Active Directory).
- Setup, operation and troubleshooting of TCP/IP networking.
- Must possess good problem solving and analytical skills.
- Requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and use judgment in providing technical assistance.
Certifications Required:
- Minimum MCP required, an MCSA Advantageous.
