Role purpose:

Working with a team of back-end and front-end developers you will be responsible for designing a modern web application.

Responsibilities:

• Create website layout/user interface by using standard HTML/CSS practices.
• Integrate data from back-end services.
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
• Apply UI design principles, graphic design.
• Develop document and unit test code.
• Bring new and creative ideas.
• Work in an Agile environment.

Experience and Knowledge Required:

• Have a strong understanding of UI design practices, patterns, cross-browser compatibility, general web functions and standards.
• Experience in responsive design web development. Excellent design and analysis skills.
• Deep expertise and hands on experience with Web Applications and programming languages such as HTML 5, CSS 3, JavaScript, JQuery and API’s.
• Understanding of REST architecture.
• Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities.
• Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX.
• Experience with modern JavaScript Frameworks e.g. Angular, React, Backbone.
• Experience with a JS test framework (Karma, Chai, Mocha).
• Strong UI test experience, including knowledge of how to test UI components and testing frameworks such as Selenium.
• Experience with Twitter Bootstrap.
• Knowledge of Javascript module systems (Require and System.js)
• Experience working with build and packaging systems such as Webpack and NPM.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tool. (Git).
• Showing a portfolio is a plus.
• Experience with Agile is a plus
