Position Title: Head of IT Infrastructure – Perm Position
Department: IT
Reports to: CTO
Responsible for: Production Systems (4), Networks (2), Technical Services/UAT (3)
This position is responsible for all information technology infrastructure and shared services, including:
• All data centre and disaster recovery sites
• Physical and virtual servers
• Storage and backup infrastructure
• Desktop hardware, server and desktop operating systems
• Wireless, local area and wide area networks (LAN/WAN)
• SQL databases
• Telecommunications equipment
• Quality Assurance
• IT Customer Support Unit
Overall Purpose of the Post:
• To ensure that the server and network infrastructure and its associated technology operates efficiently, performs within agreed targets and delivers a secure platform
• To ensure the IT Services operate in compliance with the requirements and comply with the security specifications of PCI DSS Level 1
• To ensure that all IT Business support issues are dealt with promptly and efficiently ensuring customer satisfaction with services
• To ensure User Acceptance Test is carried out on all new changes and developments prior to their release into production ensuring ongoing system stability
• To support the strategic service delivery of IT
• To act as an IT specialist, delivering solutions to complex technical issues
Qualifications:
• A minimum of 10 years’ experience with information technology infrastructure, shared services and data centre management including data and voice communications, SQL database administration, IT Service Management (ITSM), server and desktop operating systems, intranet and internet architecture and security, telecommunication, project management software, server virtualization technologies and current hardware/software architecture
• A minimum of five years’ experience supervising a team of information technology professionals combined with a sound knowledge of current and emerging industry technologies
• Knowledge of security specifications of PCI DSS Level 1
• Financial Services experience is a plus
• ITIL Foundations or Service Management certification desirable
• Project Management experience desirable
• Management experience of Quality Assurance desirable
