Security Engineer - Cork

A leading Irish based wholesale firm are currently seeking to hire a security engineer to join their fast-growing IT service team based in Cork.

Key responsibilities of the security engineer:

* Will develop and maintain the infrastructure of the entire business
* Support the IT Manager and other departments with the implementation of policies and procedures ensuring that data is safe guarded
* Primarily responsible for IT security operations providing technical expertise on IT security
* Provide up to date research and implementations of new and emerging threats within security
* Complete penetration testing and can work with third parties on external testing
* Cyber Security risk reporting

As the security engineer you will have 5+ years in a similar IT role, holding a relevant professional certification such as CISSP, CISM, CEH. You will have at 4 years experience working on MS platforms and it is seen as an advantage to have Linux/Unix experience. You will also have a strong understanding of encryption of data, security information management. You will have experience producing technical and non-technical documentation from ideation to completion. You will maintain up-to-date detailed knowledge of the information security industry including awareness of new or improved solutions.
