IT Helpdesk Level 2 NOC Engineer- Vmware - Global Services Company - €35-40K Dublin West D22
Our client is an Irish Service Provider working in select countries across the globe, providing cloud based solutions via IaaS, DaaS, DRaaS and Backup as a Service. They are currently seeking an experienced IT Helpdesk Level 2 NOC Engineer to join their team.
A level 2 NOC Engineer is there to support the customers seeking technical assistance with services provided.
Your role will be to:
* Troubleshoot networking and connectivity issues, including network device configuration
* Maintain electronic documented records of works via call logging system and company portal
* Generate reports and documentation as required for customers eg DR documentation, monthly status reports
* Be part of Service Desk shift rotation whenever possible
Skills/Technical Requirements
* 1-2 years' experience in supporting IT Infrastructure in an enterprise environment ideally in a service providers Network operations centre or via an internal IT helpdesk function in a large company.
Broad Technical knowledge across the following:
* vCenter and vSphere 5.x - 6.x - Ideal
* Firewalls and Networking (WLANs, VLANs, DNS, DHCP) essential
* Windows Server 2008/2008 R2/2012 R2 essential
* Office365 (administration & migration) ideal
* Exchange 2010/2013 ideal
* Work with x86 Servers, SAN and Virtualisation - ideal
* Excellent technical support & troubleshooting experience
* Ability to work in a fast paced, hands-on, environment, under limited supervision
* Strong verbal communication skills
