The Core Banking IT area requires a Technical Analyst to assist in the execution of the Core Banking strategy to shape and modernize the technology platform along with mobilization and delivery of a variety of change projects across a diverse banking portfolio.

The role of the Core Banking Technical Analyst will involve working with company's business stakeholders, IT colleagues and strategic IT partners to create the appropriate solution design and realisation of business requirements. The role involves working on phases of the software development life cycle including requirement analysing and solution design using Mainframe and other technologies.

The key accountabilities/responsibilities are as follows:
* Engage with customers in the business in conjunction with the Business Analysts to refine the requirements
* Lead the design of the technical solution components as an input for development, testing and maintenance of the applications and IT services
* Provide oversight and assurance on solutions delivered from the strategic partner(s) and validate technical
* Specifications of these solutions
* Provide guidance and assistance to colleagues, customers and the strategic partner(s) to analyse and/or resolve
* Complex problems and questions in relation to the proposed approach
* Manage the delivery with the strategic partner(s), validating the intermediate deliverables, checking pseudo-code or spot checking code to assure quality
* Ensures alignment with strategy and architecture

Minimum criteria for the role:
* Be an expert in Mainframe and other technologies to include, but not limited to:
* PL/1, IMS, DB2, MQ, databases
* 7+ years enterprise technology experience, with a proven track record in the delivery of IT enabled change. Experience in a Long
* Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate technical issues and strategy to both technical and non-technical audiences at senior levels within the bank; backed-up with strong interpersonal skills - collaboration, facilitation, and negotiation skills
* Strategic IT design experience and a broad understanding of Application, Information and Infrastructure technologies and of best-practices in software development and service management
* Experienced in vendor-management, work-load prioritisation and expectation-management in a demanding change and operational environment
