IT Systems Support Engineer - Level 2

Our client is a successful and independent Irish technology company focused on providing cloud based backup and disaster recovery services to businesses across Ireland and abroad. They are now looking for an IT Systems Support Level 2 Engineer to join their team.

In this important role, you will have the chance to challenge yourself, build on your existing expertise and become a key player in the delivery of our client’s exceptional service offering.

As a Level 2 Engineer, you’ll provide telephone, remote and on-site support to customers.

Remotely monitoring customers’ systems, you’ll ensure that issues are swiftly resolved, queries are responded to and customer satisfaction is achieved.

You’ll act as a point of escalation for any technical problems and will help to maintain and administer the IT infrastructure for a number of customer sites.

As part of your role, you will be required to travel to customer sites and occasionally work outside of your standard working hours.

To be considered, you’ll need:

- At least three years’ experience of providing Level 1 & 2 support in a call centre and/or helpdesk environment
- Networking experience
- A Microsoft Certification qualification
- Working towards either MCSA, VMware VCP or CCNA
- A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle

Technical expertise in the following is also essential:

- TCP IP, Networking, Routing, Database Administration
- MS Windows OS 7, 8 and 10
- MS Exchange 2003, 2007, 2010 and/or 2013
- MS SQL 2008, 2012 and/or 2014
- Working knowledge of VMware

As an IT Systems Support Level 2 Engineer, you’ll have superb command of the English language with exceptional analytical skills and a strong customer-focus. You will also need a professional telephone manner and outstanding problem-solving abilities.
