Head of IT Infrastructure (Perm)
This is a Fantastic Senior Head of IT Position with a Global Company, based in City West!
Purpose of this Head of IT Infrastructure Role:
• This senior IT role has primary responsibility for managing day-to-day IT infrastructure and operations to improve infrastructure costs, performance and end-user satisfaction
• The role will design, develop and deliver the company’s strategic vision for best in class IT infrastructure and operations
Head of IT Infrastructure Responsibilities:
• Development and delivery of IT Infrastructure strategy for the group, to ensure that a stable, secure and effective environment is in place to meet current and future business needs
• Drives infrastructure planning, design and deployment using formal project delivery and governance structures
• Works with Head of Service Delivery to proactively seek opportunities to improve service delivery and deliver efficiencies through new standards, processes or technologies that deliver value, reduce cost and increase productivity
• Ensures that agreed IT service levels are achieved for infrastructure systems availability
• Tracks, manages and communicates service levels to senior business leadership team(s)
• Responsibility for the management and control of Infrastructure budgets
• Developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure that services are delivered with a high degree of standardisation, quality and in a timely manner via a consistent approach
• Ability to establish and maintain strong partnerships with vendors, suppliers and third party support to ensure that they are fulfilling their requirements
• Works with IT security manager for ensuring appropriate security is in place and tested for all infrastructure and network environments
• Manages strategic relationships with key IT product and services providers
Head of IT Infrastructure Competencies & Experience required:
• At least 8 to 10 years’ experience in IT Technology leadership roles
• ITIL / PMP / Project Management certification a plus
• Project management, process design and financial budget management experience
• Proven track record in achievement and management of IT Services to ensure systems availability and customer satisfaction
• Financial control, budget management experience and a track record in continuing to control cost and drive efficiencies
• Extensive knowledge across all IT infrastructure and communications technology areas
• Proven ability to hire, develop, support and retain high performing teams
• Proven ability to build relationships with business leaders and management teams
• Experience of outsource vendors plus IT purchasing and contract negotiation experience
• Business continuity and disaster recovery management, risk avoidance experience
• Strong Leadership and communication skills
