Introduction:
Our client is an investment management company that provides investments products and solutions to institutional and retail clients, offering a full range of active and indexed fund management products.
Role:
* Role as a Software Engineer with a focus on User Interface (UI) development (e.g. JavaScript, AngularJS, .Net C#).
* Working within the investments Software Development Team, a multi-disciplined, high performing team of 10 Software Developers.
* The role covers all aspects of the software development lifecycle from new applications development to system enhancement, maintenance, and support.
* Opportunity to be part of a dynamic IT team and to gain understanding of aspects of fund management industry.
* Full training available as required.
Skills / Experience:
* Proven (3-5 years) experience as a UI / Web application developer
* Proven SQL / Database experience
* A third level computing qualification, ideally 2.1 or higher
* Sound understanding of the software development lifecycle
* Web-based application front-ends implemented using a combination of HTML/CSS/JavaScript/AngularJS/Webservices/ASP.NET MVC deployed onto IIS
* A Middle Layer of business logic implemented in Java (EJB/Spring) deployed on JBoss
* A Data Integration platform used to develop interfaces to integrate both internal and third party systems using an Extract-Transform-and-Load (ETL) tool
* Enterprise Oracle 11g/12c Databases
* Windows Server environments running on virtual infrastructure
* Keen interest in programming together with a sound knowledge of software engineering principles and theory
* An inquisitive nature to query other team members on specific technology or business issues.
* Communicating and influencing.
