Oracle Applications DBA – 3 Month Initial Contract, Dublin City Centre
Vantage Resources are currently seeking an experienced Oracle Applications DBA for an initial 3 month contract based in Dublin City Centre.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Provide Oracle DB Technical Input Leadership and Guidance
- Maintenance and support of our customers E-Business suite application and databases
- Carrying out general DBA duties including performance tuning, cloning, debug, backup and recovery
- Undertake architecture and design work for various projects and customers
- Design, development and testing of Oracle OBI (OBIEE & OBIA) including cost estimates
- Working with customers to plan a roadmap in terms of technology upgrading
- Support functional and technical consultants on change requests, projects and Oracle service requests
- Liaise with vendors to support problem resolution or to support specific change requests
What you need:
- 3 years Oracle EBS DBA experience including production support in a client facing capacity, with at least one large Oracle EBS upgrade project
- 2 years’ experience of working with and implementing Oracle BI solutions
- Expert knowledge of 11i or R12 EBS technology stack
- Experience installing and supporting Oracle WebLogic 11g and of Oracle Enterprise Manager/ Cloud Control
- Demonstrated proficiency in writing complex SQL queries and basic UNIX skills
- Flexible to work out of business hours if required
