Technical Analyst (Semi State) – Contract, Dublin
Technical Analyst Role and Responsibilities:
Daily support of a number of 3-tier client/server applications. Monitoring and responding to system issues. Design, development and test of system enhancements. Integration of solutions into existing environment.
What’ involved:
- L2 and L3 support and system maintenance for complex client/server applications.
- Management and maintenance of directory services.
- Coordinating and working with external vendors to integrate third-party systems into existing architecture.
- Take ownership of small projects and deliver expected results on time.
- Design and development of system enhancements.
What you need:
- Strong experience with MS Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP and DNS.
- Experience in all flavours of Windows desktop (7 and above) and Windows Server (2008 and above) operating systems.
- UNIX capabilities (ability to navigate and administer UNIX systems) preferred.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP stack and other networking concepts.
- Knowledge of virtualisation technologies (e.g. VMware vSphere package) and concepts.
- Knowledge of SAN technologies (e.g. HP 3Par) and concepts.
