IT Jobs: Our client is a leading multi-national who currently requires a Software Tester.

This role will involve testing new software developments ensuring the functionality delivered is as documented in the business requirements and the functional specification. The client offer an excellent working environment, challenging role and a very generous daily rate.

Responsibility:

• Translate the business requirements into the creation of appropriate test plans and test scripts
• Execute, owns and supplies set of test scripts
• Documents test failures and successes compared with pre-determined test results
• Raises test defects on a 3rd party provided ticketing system and carries out re-tests when issues are fixed
• Reports test results to Manager and/or other colleagues in a clear and concise manner
• Reviews test results and modifies tests if necessary. Produces reports on system quality and metrics on test cases.
• Assists other members of the project team improve software functionality and performance by discussing test results with them
• Supports UAT and provide training to the business users as required

Qualifications/Experience required:

• System testing and regression testing skills and qualifications, i.e. ISTQB Foundation Certificate in Software Testing or equivalent
• Typically, at least 2-5 years’ experience within the insurance sector in related software testing role
• Knowledge of the lifecycle of a policy from new business to surrender
