Our client is offering a challenging job in a growing international company, an opportunity to expand your business knowledge by working with prestigious clients in complex financial and technological systems, and a friendly and fast-paced environment.
Due to rapid expansion, they are building out their development team and have a requirement for an Application Support Developer. In this role, the successful candidate will deliver on process automation and efficiency initiatives, to support best practices in the IT function. This role involves support, development, configuration and scripting to progress application management initiatives such as:

• Application logging and service monitoring strategy
• Application knowledgebase management
• Support process automation
• Incident management efficiencies
• Deployment automation and server consolidation

Responsibilities include:

• third-level support, application maintenance, support and verification
• development in .NET, Java, Oracle/SQL and scripting languages
• configuration of middleware and applications such as CMDB, scheduling tools
• implementation of service and performance monitoring automation
• application support and runbook/knowledgebase documentation
• application deployment automation

Experience required:

• 2 years’ development experience
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or similar discipline, or equivalent education and experience.
• technologies:
• Oracle/SQL Server
• .NET/Java


• Scripting: JavaScript, Unix/Windows, python
• Database and ETL development/support experience
• Development knowledge: MVC, ORM, SPA browser development (JQuery, Angular…)
• CI/CD experience: technologies such as Jenkins, Bamboo, puppet
• Passion for technology: interest in coding, and flexibility in adopting new technologies
• Strong communication skills and ability to present diagnostics, troubleshooting steps and conclusions
• Ability to take ownership of deliverables with minimal supervision and personal initiative - self-starter
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to deal effectively in a team environment
