UNIX/LINUX Systems Administrator - 3 month contract - Dublin 2

My client based in Dublin 2 are seeking a Unix / Linux Systems Administrator with at least 4 years' experience. As a member of ​our support team you will be responsible for making sure critical applications and systems remain running.

Technical Expertise


BSc in Computer Science or related qualification
Experience in supporting highly available business and online applications and infrastructure services in an enterprise environment
Experience supporting Unix environments (Linux Clusters)
Strong experience in administration of Solaris and Linux required
Experience writing shellscripts
Experience setting up interfaces using SSH/Connect Direct
Hands on experience of infrastructure and application monitoring systems, preferably Nagios
Knowledge of cluster setup and administration ideally with Veritas
Basic database administration experience (Oracle)
Some experience of Windows / Windows Domain administration
Excellent troubleshooting and technical problem resolution
Prior experience of change management and change implementation processes in high availability enterprise environments
