Systems Administrator Role -Dublin
Excellent opportunity to join a well-established Company within the Financial services sector, excellent central Dublin location.
As the Systems Administrator, you will be joining a dedicated team focussed on the supporting the Companies critical systems.
Key responsibilities
• Pro-actively manage the server, storage and database technologies, network solutions, virtualization, desktop and general hardware/software support, telephony and mobile device management, security solutions used by the Company ensuring high availability.
•Strive to constantly look at continuously improving initiatives to ensure the continued stability of the IT infrastructure, and to improve the quality of the maintenance and support tasks performed by the team.
• As a member of Company's Security Management Committee, your main task will be to research, advise and implement security measures to minimise and manage Cyber-attacks.
• Lead and perform workstation / server administration, application deployment, and workstation / server maintenance tasks.
• Provide all tier help desk support for the applications, workstations, printers, and other IT infrastructure components. (c20% of the role).
• Manage all infrastructure/application upgrades (including monthly Security Patching) and enhancements from planning, implementation through to completion
• Identify, develop and maintain to ensure accuracy of all the documentation required to describe the configuration of the network, database and application servers, and communications equipment; and to define the maintenance tasks required to support the Company's IT infrastructure.
• Provide User Account Administration & Access Control on all systems as per defined Company policies.
• Data backup and archiving.
• Management of Disaster Recovery planning, testing and documenting.
• Completion of the nightly Batch process.
• Liaising with 3rd Party suppliers / Group companies as required.
• Assist in maintaining of the U Facilities (office space, fixtures and fittings, Air Conditioning, Access Control etc.)
Required Skills:
• Minimum 6 years in a similar role
• Very Strong VMware installation & Maintenance and Administration skills (Ideally VCP certified)
• Very Strong Windows Server 2008/2102 & Workstation installation and maintenance
• Strong Windows 7 /8 /10 knowledge
• Strong Active Directory knowledge – Group policy Management
• WSUS knowledge
• SQL server installation and maintenance
• Strong Microsoft Exchange 2010
• Clearswift – Secure Email Gateway
• Strong SWIFT installation and Maintenance knowledge
• Backup Management --BackUp Exec and Veeam Backup and Recovery
• Palo Alto Firewalls Management
• McAfee EPO server installation and maintenance
• Ability to work on own Initiative
• Ability to run projects / tasks to completion
• Very Strong documentation skills
Advantageous Skills:
• Familiarity with OPICS Technical Maintenance
• Familiarity with NIST cyber security Framework
• CISP / CISM certified
• ITIL Certified
• Degree in an IT related discipline

Core Hours:
• Core Business hours are 9.00am – 5pm
• Out of hours support of Nightly Batch processing (one night in 4) which normally completes by 8:00pm, ensuring its completion. (Overtime rates apply)
• Monthly patching to be completed out of hours weekend and weekdays (Overtime rates apply)
