Web Application Engineer

An excellent opportunity has opened up within an innovative and interesting company based in Dublin. This is an ideal role for an enthusiastic Web Application Tester who loves working in a fast-paced environment.

This role will involve both manual and automation testing, if you do not have automation experience you can learn on the job. You will be required to interact with customers and there may be some occasional travel.

The Role:

* Testing e-commerce Web Applications and Application Interfaces that form part of mobile telecommunications platforms
* The role will involve both manual testing and test automation.
* Writing test plans
* Preparing and executing test cases
* Writing test scripts
* Recording and analysing results and generating reports.
* Interacting with customers and occasional travel.

Skills & Experience

* A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline.
* 2 years + testing web applications.
* Manual testing experience essential.
* Experience working with different web browsers.
* Experience working with and configuring Microsoft Windows desktop environments.
* Experience testing Mobile Applications an advantage.
* Experience using Test Management and Issue Tracking software.
* Good written and verbal communications skills.

Desirable:

* E-Commerce and Telecoms knowledge and testing experience desirable.
* API testing experience desirable.
* Programming skills in C#, Java, Python or C/C++ desirable.
