Unix / MQ Administrator

A global organisation with an increasing presence globally have a requirement for a Unix / MQ administrator for a long term contracting opportunity.
The role offers a real variety of work with a combination of Unix and MQ administration in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment. You will be working with a large team of other admins (Windows, mainframe etc.) and dealing with external vendors to help maintain large-scale systems.
The role is best suited to a Unix admin with good expereince of MQ administration or vice versa. You will be given responsibility and freedom to tackle problems, this role will suit somebody with a strong sense of initiative.

Desired Skills / Experience

* Proven skills in MQ / Messagebroker administration
* Strong Unix admin skills
* Exposure to AIX is a bonus
* Experience with websphere / JBoss / Tomcat etc. would help
* Exposure to Solaris nice to have
* Ideally strong expereince in large scale 24/7 enterprise systems
* Good understanding of systems architecture
