About the Role:
The Test Engineer must have the aptitude and capability to systematically test application functionality, as part of the development/test cycle, and in preparation for the go-live phase of each development. Ideally, the candidate should have prior experience of a test/development environment, and some development experience is an advantage.
Main Responsibilities
• Development of test strategy and detailed test plans & scripts for the platform
• Documentation of Test Cases and Test Scripts;
• Definition and preparation of Test Data;
• Review business requirements, system and functional specification documents and ensure the end to end business solution is tested thoroughly
• Liaising with the Development team
• Report on test results and sign off on modules for release
• Responsible for manual testing in addition to the automated testing
Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
• Ability to read and interpret Ruby.
• Ability to read and interpret JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience in creating Selenium tests
• Experience with the RSpec ruby testing suite.
• Develop & maintain standards with regards to automated tests.
• Experience in Agile Projects & of Agile Testing Methods.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Experience in testing web based applications.
• Must be willing to cross train team members.
• Test Preparation and Execution
• Ability to interact with databases via SQL
• Good knowledge of software development lifecycle and defect resolution processes in particular
