Oracle Developer

Job Purpose
Our Client require a Junior Technical Specialist with a minimum of 2 years hands-on technical development experience. This is an ideal role for a developer to grow and specialise in Oracle technologies, including, but not limited to database technologies, SQL, PLSQL, Java and Oracle SOA Suite. You will receive the appropriate training and mentoring to become an Oracle technical developer with primary focus on Oracle’s E-Business Suite and CRM implementation, including cloud solutions and services. You will be a member of  the Oracle capability working as part of a team of functional and technical consultants who provide onsite & remote services to their customers, across a wide range of Oracle technologies.

Responsibilities
 
Working with a team of Functional, Technical and DBAs, you will develop appropriate skills and experiences to:
 
 Provide support and consultancy skills around Oracle eBusiness Suite and Oracle CRM on-premise and cloud solutions
 Work with their customers, understand their business requirements and collaborate with the Oracle team to document a proposed design to be signed off with the customer
 Develop technical solutions to the customer’s business problems in accordance with Oracle and our Clients  standards
 At all times adhere to our Clients development standards in the development of any customer solutions
 Ensuring all issues raised by the customer are recorded in our Call Management software in accordance with ITIL standards
 Providing technical support to the other team members both DBAs and Functional
 Continue to develop your technical skills so that we can provide up-to-date advice and consultancy to our customers
 At all times operate in a professional manner when dealing with external and internal customers
 Continuously identify ways to improve how we provide services to our customers
 Provide weekly reports to you Service Delivery Manger or Project Manager
 Be available to provide out of hours support where required

Required Education & Experience
 
 1 year’s programming experience in a procedural programming language (C, PL/SQL etc)
 1 year’s programming experience in an object-oriented programming language (C++, Java)
 Any scripting experience (JSP, Python, Perl etc) is an advantage
 Some experience working with and understanding of client business requirements, interpretation and production of detailed specifications and documentation, supported by a team of technical consultants
 Knowledge of the functional areas covered by eBusiness suite
 Working in a programming / development / coding environment
 Excellent communication skills
 3rd Level IT Degree or professional qualification, ideally in computing
 Any exposure to Oracle technologies is an advantage
