We are assisting a leading Financial Services company with a growing operation in Dublin source a Technical Analyst for a (minimum) 12-month Fixed Term Contract.
As Technical Analyst, you will be a key member of the companies established IT team which has responsibility for the design, development, delivery and support of 20+ different applications (which supports core business activities).
Technical Environment:
Dynamic environment, utilising a wide variety of technologies including Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence technologies, Microsoft SharePoint, and web application portals and financial applications (a busy environment - over 120+ releases were implemented across all applications in 2016).
Projects in 2017 the Technical Analyst will be involved with (include):
- Ensuring an effective and sustainable technical landscape is in place to support the business (including hardware, operating systems, 3rd party partners, licencing etc.)
- Build a Corporate Knowledge framework utilising data warehousing, management information systems, and, advanced e-discovery platforms
- Transition a Microsoft SharePoint document management system to a new managed service provider
- Continue to successfully support, maintain and evolve 20+ applications with minimal disruptions to the business
Technical Analyst’s key duties (include):
- Perform analysis, documentation, testing and troubleshooting of business processes and supporting technologies
- Monitor and manage software architecture configuration, portions of technology build, test and deployments
- Manage complex access and governance models across a wide range of applications and technologies
- Work directly with business users and IT external partners to ensure business needs are translated into working enterprise IT solutions
- Working as part of a wider team responsible for Test and Release Management functions to ensure all changes are fully tested and implemented in a secure and controlled manner
- Champion improvements to the existing processes or solutions
Experience and Education:
- Bachelor degree in computing, engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working as a technical analyst or similar role (with working knowledge of a broad range of software technologies)
- Possess a strong and current technical knowledge implementing and supporting financial applications (knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint would be a distinct advantage)
- Ability to interact with IT technical teams to determine appropriate technical solutions to support Business needs
- Experience in the development of data warehouses and business reporting tools
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Experience in computer programming (highly desirable)
- Excellent communication interpersonal, analytical and organisational skills
