QA Lead Engineer
A new exciting opportunity has opened up within a relatively young organisation who are headquartered in Dublin.
The ideal candidate will offer technical leadership to the QA team members, including defining of QA strategies and feeding into the team's automation roadmap while leading both manual and automation QA engineers.
The successful candidate must be willing to take ownership and offer support and advice to team members.
The Role:
* Review and provide feedback on product and project documentation as needed
* Prepare test data and test environments to support testing
* Design, develop and execute test cases based requirements and user stories
* Delivery of QA strategies, including: system, integration, functional and non-functional testing
* Working within the Product departments agile teams, supporting test execution and expansion of QA frameworks
* Offer technical leadership within the group
* QA team leadership of manual and automated QA engineers
* Troubleshoot problems encountered during testing; triage and root cause analysis
* Including application, code reviews and automation framework assessments
* Report and track issues in the JIRA ticketing system, keeping information up-to-date
* Development and execution of automated test suites and evaluation of the test case results. Communications across a project group
Skills & Experience
* Minimum 6 years' experience in testing along with Computer Science/Engineering or related
* Passionate about software quality assurance, excellent problem-solving technical skills and experienced in working in fast-paced environments
* Excellent communication skills and teamwork ethic
* In depth knowledge of testing methodologies and approaches including: system, integration, functional, non-functional (performance and security) testing
* Software test lifecycle and quality control methodologies
* Web application and web service testing approaches
* Strong experience with MySQL, MS SQL server or Oracle databases
* Previous development or automation experience / knowledge (Java preferred)
* Experience in building test automation frameworks (using Open Source tools)
* Java/Linux/Shell Scripting/Selenium/Open Source Tools
* Linux / Mac system: shell scripting and shell commands
* Experience with version control, such as subversion, git
* Experience with Continuous Integration tools, such as Jenkins and maven
* Good command of English, both written and spoken.
Salary / Package:
* €60,000 - 70,000
