Dublin 6 months+ Daily Rate Contract
Role Overview:
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to play one of the key supporting roles in rolling out new Continuous Integration & Delivery (DEVOPS) tools and process across a large financial organisation.
Perform the following activities for the assigned projects/releases:
- Test Automation as part of BDD based agile team.
- Shift-Left Continuous Testing by automating Acceptance Tests based on 3-Amigos sessions.
- Mentoring Developers in QA best practices, helping in implementing Unit and Integrations Tests to cover acceptance criteria.
- Work with Developers for Code Quality improvement, including code review, test review and static code analysis.
- Consulting and Rolling out BDD process for new projects.
- Working with CI Team to integrate Build and Test in CI pipelines.
Role Requirements:
- Should have 8-11 years' experience in Test Automation and/or Development.
- 3-5 years' experience working in software development team following agile practices.
- 5 years' experience using the following tools - JIRA, GIT, Jenkins, Maven, Nexus, Sonar, Selenium, Cucumber/Serenity, Mockito/Wiremock or any other mocking tools.
- In-depth experience in BDD and/or TDD approach for Software Development.
- Familiarity with Agile QA best practices including 3-Amigos Session, Acceptance Criteria definition etc.
- In-depth experience with Java based Test Automation including JUnit, Selenium, Cucumber and similar technologies.
- Experience with IBM WebSphere stack running on Solaris and/or Linux.
- Excellent communication, presentation and training skills
- Self-motivated, analytical thinker with a passion for quality
- Software related third level education
Additional Preferences:
- 5+ years' experience in Spring based Java application testing and/or development.
- Experience with Micro-services technologies - Kafka, Cassandra, Spring Boot, Spark/Storm, Consul/Zuul etc.
- Experience with Vagrant, Docker/AWS
- 3 experience with Groovy, Ant, Perl, Ruby or Python scripting
