Senior C++ Developer, ideally with some team leading or project leading experience required to lead a small product development team of 2-3 developers.
My client is an established, medium sized company with a reputation for providing quality services in their niche industry. The Technology Division is focussed on the delivery of cloud based application solutions & services.
We are looking for a Senior C++ Engineer or hands-on Development Team Lead who is capable of writing quality Object Oriented (OO) code, while guiding the team on development projects. Your role will be a combination of development and team leading. However, if your passion or forte is purely development, then we can accommodate 100% of your time being engaged in design & development of software applications.
70% of the role involves hands-on design, coding & development. Having reverse- engineered an acquired software product, the role will now involve new project work, including adding new functionality to the existing product & building out its application & functionality. You will also engage in the design & development of new security software applications.
You will be working primarily with C++, Linux and scripting languages such as perl & PHP.
Any experience in the areas of Anti-virus software, e-mail threat and vulnerability applications, messaging solutions or related areas is highly desirable. Knowledge of SMTP, MIME, message handling and related protocols knowledge is important.
Essential Skills required:
* The majority of your experience must involve hands-on development of software applications in C++ with recent coding experience in C++ a necessity
* 5+ years C++ software development experience with standard library, DSL, parsing, etc
* OOP, Object oriented programming
* Experience in creating scalable, distributed systems
* Current expertise in C++, Linux / Unix and SQL, relational databases or noSQL required
Additional desirable skills = team leading, software project leading.
Salary: €60-70K (Permanent) + benefits
