Our client, a major multinational business, is currently seeking a number of experienced Contract Business Analysts / Systems Analyst for their operations in the South East. The need has arisen due to major company acquisitions and new product development within the financial services industry worldwide. Financial software systems development environment.
The roles will suit Technical Business Analysts who have worked on software development projects.
We are seeking Technical Business Analysts with either:
Excellent UML / Use case analysis skills working on enterprise application development projects
OR
Strong SQL skills working on Data systems, Datawarehousing or Data Analytics type projects.
Business Analysts & Data Systems Analysts with experience of enterprise business applications migration projects and large-scale software systems integration projects are of particular interest.
You will be working on major enterprise software development, data migration and software systems integration programmes covering one of other of 2 main areas (depending on your expertise):
Enterprise Software Systems & Applications (Business Systems) OR Data Solutions (SQL databases, data warehousing and data analytics / business intelligence solutions).
Role:
* Liaising between the business, project and software development teams to assist in development of project solutions to business requirements
* Facilitating workshops, requirements gathering & analysis
* Analysing business user requirements and translating into detailed system requirements for the technical teams
* Involved in creation of functional documentation and technical documentation
* Collaborate with the project teams to understand business needs, processes and work with project managers, technical architects, data architects and developers to implement business requirements
* Conducting needs analyses, writing systems specifications, data mapping and involvement in system testing to meet business requirements
* Involvement in the project planning & co-ordination of software solution development projects through the project lifecycle
Experience Required:
* Degree or above in Business Systems, Business Studies, IT, Computer Science, Technology or similar
* 5+ years experience in a Business Analyst, Technical Business Analyst or Systems Analyst capacity
* Software systems development projects or Data focussed development project experience
* Excellent requirements gathering and business systems analysis experience
* Use case analysis and/or UML skills OR strong SQL, Database technology skills
* Prior experience of Enterprise Software Applications, Business systems development or migration projects or Database solution / Data analytics projects
* Visio expertise
* Excellent communication skills
* Project delivery experience
Contract rate: Daily rates dependent on expertise
