IT Support Technician 

Our client is an IT company, fast paced growing business in the IT Sector. Working with many different sectors, based in County Meath.

The new employee IT Support Engineer will be a key resource working closely with all our clients and will provide support to them in hardware, software, sales and networking. Assisting current engineers with IT support queries and roll outs of new projects to provide clients with a first rate IT Infrastructure.

 Duties and Responsibilities:

• To support the clients with their IT Operations and rollout new project work as the IT infrastructure is developed to meet business needs.
• To undertake networking installation and maintenance, including wiring, patching, switches, access points, firewalls, modems etc. This is essential.
• To assist/support the senior IT Engineers Lead with IT day-to-day operations.
• To provide project support for all business locations either by remote support of call out.
• To build, install and configure end user equipment as required.
• To assist in troubleshooting of hardware, software and network issues
• Responsibility for managing, owning and driving customer issues from start through to resolution.
• To be able to fix any laptop/pc and complete knowledge of laptop/pc repairs down to board level
• To respond to support calls in accordance with the business SLA's ensuring calls are quickly and accurately logged, resolved and analysed to prevent future occurrences and that call resolution priorities are met.
• To maximum level of customer satisfaction.
• To manage service enquirers using the logging system.
• To support users in the use of computer equipment and software by providing both necessary training and advice.
• To up sell and generate extra business
• Being able to physically install interactive screens, mounting of screens and brackets, this involves drilling, conduit and cable running - This is essential.

Skills and Experience:

• Minimum of 2-3 year of work experience in IT
• Installation work in the past of cabling etc.
• Excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills - ability to translate complicated technological terminology into language easily understood by others.
• A self-starter with proven experience in dealing directly with users on a wide variety of IT-related issues with ability to be a self-motivator and work on their own or in team environment.
• Microsoft Windows xp, win 7,8,10 and dos is essential.
• Experience working in Office 365 complete setup including licensing and renewals
• Experience in Microsoft Windows 2008 / 2012 server
• Strong general Desktop, Laptop support and troubleshooting skills
• Dealing with schools and interactive devices

Note: The company is based in a rural area, you will need your own transport to and from work. They are a small team but a growing business. This role involves working in schools and the candidate will be Garda vetted.
