Senior UI Technical Lead
My client is currently seeing an experience UI Developer to join their team in North Dublin as Senior UI Technical Lead. The successful candidate will report to the Digital Development manager, leading a team of developers based on and off shore. Excellent opportunity for experienced developer who wants to move into management role.
Key Responsibility:
- Lead technical development & roadmap for UXUI team
- Develop structured production level JavaScript /HTML/CSS, across various frameworks for front-end web development projects
- Coach team members on good coding practices & using frameworks to widen team's understanding of JavaScript development
- Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver solutions
- Technical advisor to business owners, project management & back end development teams
- Define & develop strategy for Angular, JS & other front end technologies
- Work with solution architects to optimise product to meet technology standards
- Lead technical direction of on & off shore teams
- Manage team capacity & workflows
- Work with product and project managers to secure budget approval
- Streamline processes and change ways of working to ensure team efficiency
- Deliver attractive user interface to drive increased engagement and repeat custom
Requirements
- Professional experience in JavaScript; experience with AngularJS and other JavaScript libraries
- Experience with JavaScript testing tools. Examples: Jasmine, Chai, Sinon etc. Experience working with
- RESTful Web Services
- Relevant Degree/qualification or work experience
- Ability to work closely with designers, product owners and developers
- Demonstrable portfolio of work
- Experience in on boarding new frameworks and technologies in a controlled manner
- Track record of introducing and maintaining technical strategy for a similar sized team
- Strong understanding of user research, wire framing, personas and other HCI methods
- Experience using version control systems; experience with Git preferred
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
