Senior Java Developer

We are looking for a talented Senior Java Developer to join our Software Development team. As a Senior Java Developer, you will join a team delivering a range of enterprise and web solutions for our clients using the latest Java technologies.

The role:
The Senior Java Developer will be responsible for the design and implementation of software projects, lead design sessions, mentor junior team members and play a key role in ensuring the quality of the solutions that we build.

Essential Experience / Skills:
� A minimum of 5 years’ development experience in Java enterprise and web applications
� Experience designing and developing Web Service Interfaces, Web Frontends and Business Components

Experience using:
� EJB3
� Spring
� Hibernate
� JSF
� Struts
� Maven
� jBPM and/or Activiti
� SVN and/or GIT
� Junit
� Continuous Integration
� Oracle RDBMS
� Strong technical design and development skills
� Practical experience through all phases of SDLC
� Excellent communication skills both written and verbal (including fluent English)
� A keen interest in technology
� Third level qualification in Computer Science / Engineering or a related discipline

Desirable experience:

Experience with Scrum and general agile development techniques:
� Test Driven Development

Experience with:
� Application Server (Glassfish/Tomcat)
� Oracle 12c
� Hazelcast, Apache Camel
� Javascript frameworks in particular AngularJS
� Testing Tools: Mockito, Selenium/Protractor, Cucumber
� Messaging protocols like REST, SOAP and JMS (via ActiveMQ)​
� Experience across multiple Operating Systems
� Experience with Jenkins for Continuous Integration and Sonar or similar for code quality and code coverage
