My client has just contacted me seeking a highly skilled Senior Developer with a strong background in building scalable, predictable, high-quality and high-performance web/windows forms applications on the Microsoft technology stack for their office in Dundalk, Ireland. The town is close to Northern Ireland and only a 40 minute drive from Dublin airport. Our client provides educational testing services and assessment solutions. Job Description
As a Senior Developer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining internal and external applications. You will work with a team of experienced analysts, developers and business resources to build highly-performing enterprise systems that help grow the business. This role is ideally suited to a developer with commercial experience.
Key areas of Responsibility
� Define, Refine and document systems architecture for new and existing systems
� Deliver on programming assignments
� Develop unit tests and test tools
� Participate in software code reviews and process improvements
� Integration testing and interaction with quality control and deployment teams
� Provide regular update of status and activities
� Coaching of junior developers
� Other duties as assigned by Management
Essential Skills
� Bachelor’s Degree in related field or combination of relevant skills and education
� 3+ years professional object-oriented programming experience in C# or Java
� 2+ years experience of Microsoft IDE, APS.NET, MVC, WCF, WPF
� Web application development – web services, javascript, jquery and CSS
� Experience of data modeling, database normalization & optimization using SQL,T-SQL, MS SQL, SSMS
� Write and/or modify SSIS packages, SSRS reports and report models, and SSAS cubes
� Knowledge and experience of standard development practices and lifecycles
� Good communication skills, both oral and written.
� Design concepts/Patterns
� Performance tuning, optimization skills for scalable systems
