Senior System Administrator required for Managed Services multinational.

This is an opportunity to join a leading technology services provider that includes over 70,000 employees. Serving a global client base, it delivers hi-tech transnational services, consulting, systems integration and managed services.

Multinational operations have seen a great deal of activity in the last year has created a vacancy for a versatile Senior Systems Administrator to come on board and address a variety of outstanding issues within the IT department. The current team requires someone to take a leadership role and manage a small team of Infrastructure specialists as well as being hands on in the areas of Windows Server and Active Directory. You will have a no job too small approach to your work and first class communication skills. Prior experience in an enterprise grade environment preferred.

You will be able to provide direction and guidance to Network and Systems Administrators grouped with managing the installation of hardware, applications and systems. You will also manage the support and maintenance of the data communications network.

The Role:

Work within a team to deliver Managed Services to our customer(s), to required SLAs.
Provide and manage proactive maintenance and monitoring on customer systems.
Share standard methodologies with other team members to enhance the quality and efficiency of support services.
Deliver services in line with Incident, Problem and Change Management processes.
Manage issues or outages to resolution, identify key points of contact, and manage communications within the delivery and customer teams.
Update Incident, Request, Problem and Change tickets in the ticketing system.
Maintain relevant Asset and Configuration Item records in the system.
This role requires a highly skilled and experienced technical Support Engineer.

Primary responsibility for ongoing support, monitoring and management of:
SAN Support (EMC CX120, Dell EqualLogic)
SCOM 2012
Exchange 2007
Work with other team members for support of:
Active Directory 2008 (AD synchronisation, Group Policy, etc)
Windows Server 2003, 2008, 2012
IIS on Windows Server 2003, 2008, 2012
Assist in the support and management of SCCM 2012 7 k+

Technical skills/certifications:
SAN Support (EMC and/or Dell preferred)
SCOM 2012
Exchange 2007
Backup system management (CommVault)
Active Directory 2008 (AD synchronisation, Group Policy, etc)
Networking experience (Huwawei, Adtran, Cisco, Dell Switches preferred)

Desirable Technical Skills/Experience:
SCCM 2012
SQL Server 2005+
Scripting and automation knowledge (VBScript, PowerShell)

This role will suit a confident communicator with strong business acumen and professional attitude. The ability to deal with all level stakeholders and strong understanding of Web security including IIS would be advantageous. You will have proven experience as a team leader with ability to troubleshoot issues escalated by Network and Systems Administrators.
