Contract Business Analysts - Technical with SQL & Data projects background

Our client, a major multinational, a leader in its field, is currently seeking a number of experienced Contract Business Analysts / Systems Analysts for their operations in the South East to work on Data Solutions development projects, focussing on data migration, datwarehousing, Business Intelligence and Data Solutions projects.
The roles will suit Technical Business Analysts who have worked on SQL, Database / software development projects. Other areas are business applications migration projects and enterprise software system integration projects. The need has arisen due to a major corporate acquisition, new systems development & enhancements to existing application deployed globally.
You will be working on major enterprise software development & data solutions projects, primarily focussed on large-scale high-volume transactional processing systems, Data Solutions (SQL databases, data warehousing and data analytics / business intelligence solutions).
Role:
* Liaising between the business, project, database & software development teams to assist in development of solutions to global business requirements
* Facilitating workshops, requirements gathering & analysis
* Analysing business user requirements and translating into detailed system requirements for the technical teams
* Involved in creation of functional documentation and technical documentation
* Collaborate with the project teams to understand business needs, processes and work with project managers, technical architects, data architects and developers to implement business requirements
* Conducting needs analyses, writing systems specifications, data mapping and involvement in system testing to meet business requirements
* Involvement in the project planning & co-ordination of software solution development projects through the project lifecycle
Experience Required:
* Degree or above in Business Systems, Business Studies, IT, Computer Science, Technology or similar
* 5+ years experience in a Business Analyst, Technical Business Analyst or Systems Analyst capacity
* SQL (SQL server) Data solutions project experience or data-heavy software applications development projects
* SQL, Database technology skills
* Visio
* Excellent communication skills
* Project delivery experience
* Any ETL, Datwarehousing or Data Analyst experience is also of interest
Prior experience of Enterprise Software Applications, Business software systems development or migration projects or Database solution / Data analytics projects
Contract rate: Daily rates dependent on expertise
