The Role:

This Company is a Global Hedge Fund Administrator that has one of the most experienced service teams in the industry. They have offices in numerous locations globally and are looking to add to their team. Due to exponential growth and the opening of a new office they are looking to add an Application Support specialist to their team in Dublin. This is an exciting role ideal for someone looking to take the next step in their career combining both Financial and IT experience.  

For these positions you will need:

·         Create XML workflows to process files coming from external sources

·         Contact new and existing brokers on a regular basis

·         Create file transformation maps using Excel

·         Testing of new application features

·         Set up email access to files for internal client teams and confirm receipt of files

·         Work with the Application Engineering group to set up FTP accounts

·         Conduct meeting meetings with clients and brokers providing regular updates to management

·         Secure the relevant permissions from the clients 

Skills you will need to have:

·         Very strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills

·         Good knowledge of database design and SQL

·         Experience of Project Management and project tracking tools

·         Experience with XML, ability to interpret an XML file and understand workflows

·         Experience with data encryption, preferably using PGP

·         Experience with SWIFT systems

·         Good programming experience including data and logical structures

·         Good problem solving and ability to think on your feet

Experience:

·         1 – 2 Years in a similar role is an advantage
